Terms of Service
Last updated: April 22, 2026
Welcome to Jaunty. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Jaunty website, programs, classes, coaching services, content, and any related products or services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Jaunty, LLC ("Jaunty," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, by creating an account, or by purchasing any Jaunty membership or program, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by the Jaunty Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
The Service is intended for adults age 18 and older. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.
The Jaunty Gym, Jaunty Cohort, OneDevotion, VIP Monthly, and all open group programs are not available to anyone under the age of 18. In limited cases, a parent or legal guardian may request private 1:1 coaching for a minor under the conditions described in our Minor Safety Policy. Any such participation is governed by a separate Parental Consent and Acknowledgment Form signed by the guardian, and these Terms apply to the guardian as the contracting party. Nothing in these Terms is intended to bind a minor to a contract that the minor has the right to disaffirm under applicable law.
If we discover that a user under 18 has registered for, accessed, or participated in any open group program without an approved exception, we will remove that user and refund any unused portion of fees in accordance with Section 4.
2. Description of the Service
Jaunty provides social skills and dating coaching through online classes, video courses, written content, group programs, 1:1 coaching, and related services. The Service may include live group classes, on-demand recorded content, written guides, community access, and direct interaction with Jaunty coaches and instructors.
The Service is for educational and personal development purposes. It is not therapy, mental health treatment, medical advice, or a substitute for any of those. If you are experiencing mental health concerns, please consult a licensed professional.
3. Accounts and registration
To access certain parts of the Service, you must register an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep that information up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may not share your account with anyone else. Each membership is for a single individual. You agree to notify us immediately at connect@jaunty.org of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Subscriptions, billing, cancellation, and refunds
Subscription tiers
Jaunty offers paid memberships including Pioneer, Master, Flirt, VIP Monthly, OneDevotion, and the Jaunty Cohort. Pricing for each tier is published on the Service and may change from time to time. Any price change will not affect your current billing cycle.
Authorization for recurring billing
By subscribing to a Jaunty membership, you affirmatively consent to recurring charges to your designated payment method until you cancel. The summary of your subscription terms, including the amount, frequency, and length of the billing cycle, is presented to you at checkout and is also stated in your confirmation email. The subscription will automatically renew at the then-current price for the same billing interval (monthly, annually, or as otherwise stated at checkout) unless you cancel before the next renewal date.
By completing checkout, you are agreeing that:
- you have read and accepted the subscription terms displayed at checkout;
- you authorize Jaunty (and its payment processors) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the stated amount and interval;
- the subscription will renew automatically until cancelled; and
- you may cancel at any time as described below.
Confirmation and acknowledgment
After you subscribe, Jaunty will send you a confirmation email summarizing the subscription terms and including instructions on how to cancel. You may save or print this email for your records.
How to cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time by:
- using the cancellation option in your account, where one is available; or
- emailing connect@jaunty.org from the email address on your account.
If you signed up for the Service online, you may cancel online or by email at any time without speaking to a representative. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period. You will retain access to the Service through the end of the period you have already paid for.
Annual reminders
For any subscription billed on an annual basis, Jaunty will send you a reminder before each annual renewal that includes the renewal date, the renewal amount, and instructions on how to cancel.
Free trials and promotional offers
Where Jaunty offers a free trial or promotional rate, the terms of that trial or promotion (including the promotional period, the standard rate that will apply afterward, and how to cancel before being charged the standard rate) will be clearly disclosed at signup. Unless you cancel before the trial or promotional period ends, you authorize Jaunty to begin charging at the standard rate at that time.
Refunds
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law or where we explicitly offer a refund in writing. One-time purchases such as cohort enrollments, social assessments, and coaching bundles are non-refundable once the program has begun unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.
In the limited case of an approved minor participant under the Minor Safety Policy, refund handling on withdrawal is described in that policy and supersedes the default rule above to the extent of any conflict.
Payment failures, chargebacks, and changes to payment method
If a payment fails, your payment method is declined, or you initiate a chargeback that we determine is not based on a valid dispute, we may suspend or terminate your access, retry the charge, charge an alternate payment method on file, and pursue any unpaid amounts to the extent permitted by law. You agree to keep your payment method information current. You are responsible for any taxes, bank fees, or third-party fees associated with your payment method.
Payment processors
Payments are processed through Stripe, Clover, and PayPal. By making a payment, you also agree to the terms and policies of the applicable payment processor.
Changes to subscription pricing
We may change subscription pricing from time to time. Any price change will not take effect for your current paid billing cycle. We will provide advance notice of any material change to the price or terms of your subscription before that change takes effect, in accordance with applicable law.
5. Code of conduct
Jaunty is a community of members working on real personal growth. To protect that environment, you agree that you will not, in classes, written content, community spaces, or any other part of the Service:
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, demean, or discriminate against any other member, instructor, or staff member.
- Make sexual advances toward other members, instructors, or staff.
- Record, screenshot, screen-share, or otherwise capture any portion of a class, session, or other member's image, voice, or contributions without express consent.
- Share another member's personal information outside the Service.
- Use the Service to promote any other product, service, or business without our written permission.
- Use the Service in violation of any law.
We may suspend or terminate any account that violates this code of conduct, with or without notice, and without refund.
6. Intellectual property
All content provided through the Service, including video lessons, written guides, frameworks, methodologies, class content, the Approach book, and the Jaunty name, logo, and curriculum, is the property of Jaunty, LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to access and use the Service content for your own personal, non-commercial use during the term of your membership. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, license, or otherwise exploit any part of the Service or its content without our written permission.
7. User content
Operational license
When you submit, post, or share any content on or through the Service (including questions, comments, contributions in classes, posts in community spaces, or written exercises), you grant Jaunty a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and use that content solely as needed to operate, maintain, and improve the Service. This license ends when your content is removed from the Service, except for backups and archived copies retained in the ordinary course of business.
Marketing, testimonials, and other public use
Jaunty will not use your name, image, voice, story, or testimonial for marketing, promotional, advertising, or other public purposes unless you separately agree in writing. Where you do agree to a testimonial or marketing use, the scope, term, and any limitations of that use will be described in that separate agreement.
Your representations
You represent that you have the right to submit any content you provide and that your content does not infringe the rights of any third party or violate any law.
8. Recording
You may not record, screenshot, screen-share, or otherwise capture any session, class, or other participant's image, voice, or contributions without express consent. From time to time, Jaunty may itself record sessions or classes for coaching, training, or quality purposes; where this occurs, Jaunty will disclose this in advance, and recordings will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Group sessions involve other participants, and you should not assume that anything you share in a group session is confidential.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Jaunty does not guarantee any specific dating, romantic, social, or personal outcome from your participation in the Service. Results vary based on individual effort, circumstances, and many factors outside of our control.
Jaunty is not a licensed therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, or medical provider. The Service is not therapy or medical advice. If you are experiencing emotional, mental, or physical distress, please consult a licensed professional.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jaunty, LLC, its officers, employees, contractors, instructors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising from or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the total amount you paid Jaunty in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Jaunty, LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, instructors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of any third party.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms. You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by canceling your subscription and discontinuing use.
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, user content licenses (to the extent retained), disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law.
13. Governing law, informal dispute resolution, and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Before either party files a lawsuit, both parties agree to first try to resolve any dispute informally. To start informal resolution, the party raising the dispute will send a written notice to the other party (to connect@jaunty.org if sent to Jaunty) describing the dispute, what the party wants, and the basis of the claim. Both parties will work in good faith for thirty (30) days to resolve the dispute. If the dispute is not resolved within that period, either party may then file a lawsuit.
Any lawsuit arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be filed in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
For material changes (including changes to billing, cancellation, dispute resolution, the data we collect, or your rights and obligations under these Terms), we will provide reasonable advance notice through the Service or by email. Where required by applicable law, material changes will not take effect for you until you have had the opportunity to review and accept them. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Electronic communications and notices
By using the Service, you consent to receive communications from Jaunty electronically, including by email and through notices posted on the Service. You agree that all notices, agreements, disclosures, and other communications provided to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that they be in writing.
We may send you notices about your account, your subscription, security, or these Terms to the email address associated with your account. You are responsible for keeping that address current.
16. General
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect, and the unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intent.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or by operation of law, in our discretion.
Force majeure. We are not responsible for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, war, civil unrest, government action, labor disputes, or failures of utilities, internet, or third-party services.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Minor Safety Policy (where applicable), and any separately signed agreements (including any Parental Consent and Acknowledgment Form), constitute the entire agreement between you and Jaunty regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements or communications on the subject.
