Minor Safety Policy
Last updated: April 22, 2026
Jaunty is a social skills and dating coaching program designed for adults. This page explains our policy regarding participants under the age of 18.
Eligibility
Jaunty's services, memberships, classes, community features, and coaching programs are designed for adults age 18 and older. Individuals under 18 may not self-register, purchase, create an account, attend sessions, access member areas, or otherwise participate in Jaunty services unless Jaunty has expressly approved participation in writing through its minor exception process described below.
The Jaunty Gym, Jaunty Cohort, OneDevotion, VIP Monthly, and all open group programs are not available to anyone under the age of 18 under any circumstance.
No guarantee of acceptance
Jaunty may approve or decline any request for minor participation in its sole discretion. Approval is limited, revocable, and program-specific. Jaunty may suspend or terminate a minor's participation at any time, with or without prior notice, if Jaunty believes doing so is appropriate for safety, maturity, fit, compliance, operational, or risk-management reasons.
Special cases for participants under 18
In limited cases, a parent or legal guardian may request that their child under 18 receive Jaunty coaching. These requests are handled individually and only under the conditions below.
Step 1. Written request from the legal guardian
The request must come directly from a verified parent or legal guardian, in writing, to connect@jaunty.org. We may ask for documentation to confirm the requester's identity and legal guardianship.
Step 2. Signed Parental Consent and Acknowledgment Form
Before any sessions begin, the parent or legal guardian must complete and sign our Parental Consent and Acknowledgment Form. Participation by any minor is subject to that form, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy, each as updated from time to time. Those documents contain the disclosures, acknowledgments, assumptions of responsibility, and limitations applicable to minor participation.
We will provide the form on request and require it to be signed and returned before the first session is scheduled.
Step 3. Approval and onboarding
Once the form is received and reviewed, we either approve the enrollment or decline it at our discretion. If approved, an approved Jaunty coach is assigned and a session schedule is set.
Standard practices for any approved minor participant
For any participant under 18 enrolled through the special-case process above, the following standards always apply.
Session structure
- Minor participants are never placed into Jaunty's adult open group classes.
- Every session involving a minor is supervised by an approved Jaunty coach for the full duration.
- Any session involving more than one minor must be specifically approved by Jaunty in advance and remain coach-supervised at all times.
- Flirt-tier content, including modules on sexuality, sexual presence, and physical touch progression, will not be provided to a minor under any circumstance.
Communications between coaches and minors
All minor participation must occur through Jaunty-approved channels.
- Coaches will not communicate privately with minors through personal phone numbers, text messages, social media, direct messages, or any other non-approved channel.
- All scheduling and administrative communication runs through the parent or legal guardian or through approved company channels.
- A parent or legal guardian may be copied on scheduling and administrative emails and may request reasonable visibility into the coaching process, subject to safety and privacy considerations.
- Coaches will not share personal contact information with a minor and will not conduct sessions from non-company accounts.
Recording and capture
- No participant may record, screenshot, screen-share, or otherwise capture another participant's image, voice, messages, or session content without express authorization.
- Where Jaunty itself records a session for coaching, training, or quality purposes, this will be disclosed in advance and the parent or legal guardian may request that recording of their minor be disabled.
Account and data handling
For an approved minor participant, the only information linked to the participant in Jaunty systems is the minor's first name and the parent or legal guardian's contact information. Jaunty does not request or store additional personal information about the minor through the account. Jaunty handles all such information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Where required by law, Jaunty will obtain any additional parental notices or consents before collecting personal information from a child.
Guardian visibility and withdrawal
- The legal guardian receives a regular check-in summarizing what is being taught and what the minor is working on.
- The legal guardian may withdraw the minor from the program at any time. Any refund, credit, or proration will be handled under the applicable purchase terms unless Jaunty decides otherwise in its discretion.
Concerns and escalation
Any concern raised by the minor, the guardian, the coach, or another member is escalated directly to Jaunty leadership. Jaunty may investigate any safety concern, pause access during review, contact the parent or legal guardian, document the incident internally, and take any further action Jaunty considers appropriate to protect participants, coaches, and the platform.
Reporting concerns
If you are a member, parent, coach, or third party with a concern about minor safety on our platform, contact us directly at connect@jaunty.org. Concerns are reviewed by Jaunty leadership and addressed through the process described above.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Minor Safety Policy from time to time as our program and practices evolve. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
